At Brooklyn Magic Shop we suspend all disbelief and let our imaginations soar. Our goal is to help even just a little in shaping your child's life in the most positive and magical way. We promote and enrich a strong and consistent atmosphere of positivity, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our thoughtful and unique magic-focused curriculum promises to foster your child's spatial awareness, enhance their imagination, develop their character, and help build their confidence. We also offer robust adult magic classes, private magic classes, magic day camps, and magic summer camps.

A private customizable 1-hour magic class for children, adults, couples, and groups. Whether you are new to magic and looking for a unique introduction to the art, or a magician who is looking to start performing for audiences. From street magic, to close-up magic, to parlor-style magic routines. Classes are completely customized to meet your magical needs.

Introduction to Magic

These classes aim to inspire and grow our young Magician's magical interests. Students will learn how to present easy sleight of hand, highly visual magic tricks. Students learn simple foundations in close-up magic such as, how to flourish a magic wand, how to use basic misdirection, introductions to card sleights, character development, improvisation, and the importance of the imagination. We also explore easy magic prop-building. Students will be able to confidently perform a complete magic trick routine using all of the concepts learned. Student Magic Showcases are held every 10-week period.
Magic materials are included.
After-school pickup is currently available at PS 58.

Foundations of Magic

This set of classes provides the curious adult student of magic with a robust introduction to close-up magic. Students will learn how to present sleight of hand, highly visual magic tricks. Students will learn foundations in close-up magic such as misdirection fundamentals using the eyes, body, and voice, as well as classical introductions to sleight-of-hand concepts using coins, cards, and everyday objects. Students will explore character development, scripting, and the importance of structural phasing. By the end of the course, each student will be able to demonstrate a multi-phased mini-magic routine using misdirections and sleight-of-hand.
Magic materials are included.
Some skill is required:
E.g. shuffling cards, over-hand shuffles, familiarity with double lifts, basic coin handling.

This set of classes provides students with an exploration of the Magic & Circus Arts through a blend of magic, juggling, miming, balloon artistry, performance, and prop making. Students will focus on building character, dexterity, precision, timing, and hand-eye coordination. Students will learn how to entertain with simple items like paper, silks, balloons, and easy sleight of hand magic tricks. By the end of the course, each student will be able to highlight one of their acquired skills in the Student Magic & Circus Showcase held every 10-week period.
Magic materials are included.

Personal Benefits: Promotes safe and friendly social interactions, team building, respect, and creativity. This class will improve students’ reaction time, reflexes, spatial awareness, athletic ability, and breathing.
