Our goal is to help, even just a little, in shaping yours and your child's life in the most positive and magical way possible. Our thoughtful and unique magic-focused programs promise to foster your child's spatial awareness, enhance their imagination, develop character, and help build their confidence. Brooklyn Magic Shop offers after-school magic programs both onsite and offsite in partnership with local Brooklyn schools, weekday and weekend Private Magic Classes tailored to all ages and skill levels, Adult Magic Programs, Magic Date Nights for couples, groups, and families, Magic Camps during school holidays, and Magic Summer Camps. Magic & Circus

Magic & Circus Classes
Registration is Open!

Students will explore Magic & Circus art through a blend of magic, juggling, miming, clowning, balloon artistry, performance, and prop making. Students will focus on building character, dexterity, precision, timing, and hand-eye coordination. Students will learn how to entertain with simple items like paper, silks, balloons, and sleight-of-hand magic. By the end of the course, each student will be able to highlight one of their acquired skills through a scripted performance in our Student Magic & Circus Showcase.
Materials: All magic materials are included with the exception of a student request for additional recommended materials (e.g. books and individualized props).

Foundations of Magic

6-week Adult Magic Program

Brooklyn Magic Shop's unique 6-week adult magic program provides the curious adult student of magic with a robust introduction to close-up magic. Students will learn how to present sleight-of-hand and highly visual magic in a safe, friendly, and collegial atmosphere. Students will learn foundations in close-up magic such as misdirection fundamentals using the eyes, body, and voice, as well as classical introductions to sleight-of-hand concepts using coins, cards, and everyday objects. Students will explore character development, scripting, and the importance of structural phasing. By the end of the course, each student will be able to demonstrate a multi-phased mini-magic routine using misdirection and sleight-of-hand.
Materials: All magic materials are included with the exception of a student request for additional recommended materials (e.g. books and individualized props).
No skill is required: Some familiarity with basic shuffles (e.g. riffle shuffle and overhand shuffles) is recommended but not required.

Brooklyn Magic Shop's Magic Arts Program is designed to inspire and grow our young magician's magical interests. Magic students will learn important foundations in close-up magic and learn how to use misdirection. Students will also learn introductions to sleight-of-hand, card magic, magic with everyday objects, character development, improvisation, acting, scripting, and the importance of the imagination. Students will explore magic prop making and build an understanding on how magic works and the importance of building a strong foundation in magic. Students will be able to confidently perform a complete magic routine using all of the concepts learned in our Student Magic Showcase.
Materials: All magic materials are included with the exception of a student request for additional recommended materials (e.g. books and individualized props).

Students will learn foundations of magic, inclusive of history and theory, and develop a deeper understanding of magic. Students will continue to learn sleight of hand, misdirection concepts, and performance styles with a focus on close-up magic using coins, cards, and everyday objects. Students will explore character development, scripting, and the importance of structural phasing. Students will be able to demonstrate multi-phased-magic routines using misdirection and sleight of hand in our Student Magic Showcase.
